Christianity.co.uk is dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ - our Saviour and Messiah - We pray this website will help you learn more about the facts of Christianity, and that you too may come to know Jesus as your personal Saviour. Christianity centres on Jesus.  True Christianity worships Him as Lord and Saviour.  He is a Rock to depend on when everything around crumbles.  Only Jesus is the "resurrection and the life".

If you would like to read the Bible online click here - King James Bible

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life.  He who believes in me, even though he dies, he shall live." (John 11:25)

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life".     (John 3:16 - NKJ Version)

"...how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation"           (Hebrews 2:3 - NKJ Version)

God wishes that all men may believe in His Son, by repenting of their sins and trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation and eternal life.  Christianity is an intelligent faith built on a solid foundation.  God has provided many proofs that it is the only true path from the many that we are tempted to walk.  One of these proofs is the abundance of Messianic prophecy that can be found in the Old Testament.  No other religion can point to specific prophecies about a coming Messiah.  It has been calculated that there are over 400 Messianic prophecies in the Old Testament.  Some of these prophecies consist of a word or a sentence, but there are also whole chunks of the Old Testament, including the entire chapters of Isaiah 53 and Psalm 22 which describe the suffering, rejection and sin bearing of a coming Messiah.  Psalm 22 even describes a crucifixion scene in graphic detail, even though it was written by King David around 1000 BC when crucifixion was not a Jewish form of execution.

1000 years later a Messiah did arrive who perfectly fulfilled every prophecy about him.  Jesus Christ's life, the words He spoke, the miracles He performed, His death on a cross, and His glorious resurrection were surely proof enough that He was the Son of God in whom we should trust.  But God the Father also chose to provide us with this wealth of prophecy, to declare to a fallen world that He is here, the Messiah has arrived. Many of these prophecies also confirmed that this Messiah was truly God, "the mighty God" (Isaiah 9:6) who was "from everlasting" (Micah 5:2).  Jesus himself knew the importance of these prophecies in bringing belief, and He twice pointed out these prophecies to His disciples on the very day of His resurrection (see Luke 24).  These prophecies are as relevant today as they were for the early church, bringing belief and conversion.  We pray that you may spend some time carefully reading through some of these prophecies, please click here to read through a selection. Hopefully you will be convinced that Jesus is the Messiah. Will He be your Messiah too?  Perhaps you may wish to read the enthralling testimony of Stan Telchin, a Jewish man who undertook much study, was convinced, and who gave his life to Jesus.  The link is provided below:

Stan Telchin is author of a number of books including the very popular book "Betrayed".  Stan is a Jewish man who felt alarmed and "betrayed" when his own daughter became a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.  Determined to disprove Christianity, he embarked on intensive research and study and became a believer himself (together with his wife and their other daughter). Read his story now by clicking here - Stan Telchin's story

Here in Britain we are especially blessed by Stan Telchin's testimony, for out of it has sprung the powerful Christian witness of Helen Shapiro.  Helen is a talented singer who, as a teenager, had a string of hits in the sixties, including two number ones, and was even supported by the Beatles when touring.  Aged 40, she began to question the meaning of life, and was providentially handed Stan Telchin's book 'Betrayed'.  Stan's story, the Bible prophecies concerning Jesus, and reading the Bible herself, convinced Helen, who was also Jewish, that Jesus was the Messiah.  She accepted Yeshua (Jesus) into her life and the Lord has since blessed Helen's Christian witness through her wonderful Gospel Music (which is drenched in Scripture) & the Gospel Testimony meetings that she now gives every year.  Please click here to find out more about Helen's Christian work and dates and venues of her Gospel Testimony tours - Helen Shapiro Gospel Music & Testimony.

DAVID WILKERSON - A Watchman for our time

We are sorry to report that David died on April 27th 2011.  For more information and the chance to read the devotional that was sent out on the day of his death (which was very powerful and relevant) please visit our David Wilkerson page.

We pray that you may take some time to read the daily devotions (Monday to Friday) of David Wilkerson founding pastor of Times Square Church, New York.  David has faithfully served the Lord, often through difficult and testing circumstances since 1958 when he first arrived in New York to minister to the dangerous gangs and young drug addicts.  He believes the world is entering a very dark and dangerous period, as the sins of the nations increase, and God's judgement and wrath will not be held back much longer, as the return of Christ draws near.  It is important that God's people are prepared for this and David's devotions are essential reading.

We thoroughly recommend that you subscribe to David's daily devotion by email (subscribe here http://devotional.davidwilkersonglobal.org).  Sometimes we get busy and forget to pray or read our Bibles. We're busy on our computers working or surfing.  I can vouch for the tremendous help and comfort that David's late afternoon/early evening devotion email brings.  Some email traffic is a distraction/waste of time but not this one.  You'll look forward to its arrival every day.  It is full of scripture and is relevant to the age we live in.  It will help you in your walk with the Lord Jesus.  For some, David's words may help save, your very soul.
